Mumbai: Baba Siddiqui’s Iftaar parties have been making headlines, ever since 2013, when the warring Khans — Salman and Shah Rukh — mended fences with a hug. The party, which is touted as one of the biggest off-screen events in Bollywood, saw a star-studded guest list again this year, with most industry bigwigs making their way to the venue in Taj Lands End in Bandra, Mumbai.

While Shah Rukh had to give it a miss owing to work commitments, Salman made a dazzling entry. There were around 120 bodyguards for the superstar’s security alone. We hear that host Siddiqui had assured Salim Khan that there would be tight security for Salman’s safety.

However, there were a few mishaps nonetheless. A source present at the venue says, “Salman’s entry and exit at the venue was completely chaotic. While walking in, a few people suffered minor injuries, as the barricades broke open. One of Salman’s close friends, on his way out, pushed a man, which resulted in a nasty fall.”

Salman came to the rescue and handled the situation with a well-timed apology. “Salman was in a rush, but he realised that his friend was wrong, so he stopped for a moment to check if the fan had got injured and then shook hands with him,” the source adds.
