The sisters are all set to clash in the fourth round of women’s singles
London: Serena Williams and Venus Williams – the two sisters – have been smashing effortlessly on the court for years. On Monday, they will meet against each other in the fourth round at Wimbledon. Here are few facts one should know about them.
First set winner: The winner of the first set has won 21 of the sisters' 25 meetings.
Wealth gained: The sisters have made more than $100 million in combined prize money.
Number of clashes: According to the WTA Tour, only one pair of players has met each other more times in Grand Slams than Serena and Venus who have met 13 times. Chris Evert and Martina Navratilova clashed 22 times at the majors.
Head-to-head: Venus could have been leading their overall head-to-head, 13-12 instead of trailing 14-11. In two of Serena's 14 wins, Venus had match point -- at Bangalore in 2008 and the WTA Finals in 2009.
Grand Slam record: Serena is 6-2 against Venus in Grand Slam finals. But Venus leads 3-1 in clashes at the majors before the championship match.
