First pictures of Shahid and Mira cutting their wedding cake

 

Mumbai: You have seen everything from Shahid Kapoor and Mira Rajput’s sangeet, to them exchanging vows, and finally their grand wedding reception, now see this sweet moment, get sweeter with cake. 

 

Photos of Shahid and Mira cutting their three tier wedding cake have surfaced online. The two young lovers who took the plunge in a quiet ceremony in Delhi, held hands and stared lovingly into each other’s eyes while cutting into their 

orange peel cake in front of their 400 odd guests.

 

We have learnt that the cake was custom made to suit the couple’s taste and likings. It was also made in colours of teal, gold and was decorated with lotuses to stick to the theme for the evening. The cakes served at the wedding and receptions were made by ‘Firefly India’, a Delhi based cake studio headed by chefs Pavani Kaur and Rasleen Kochhar. 

 

 

Shahid and Mira who exchanged vows earlier in the day, cut another cake during the afternoon’s lunch event that was organised in the hotel. As the wedding ceremony was a ‘small and private’ event, the pastry chef said that the couple specifically asked for their cake to be a ‘small and simple’ orange peel cake with sugar flower decoration.
