CoimbatoreThe CPI has urged to bring Lalit Modi back to India and interrogate him for his links with the NDA leaders.  Speaking to journalists here on Wednesday, CPI central committee member, D. Pandian and Tamil Nadu party unit secretary, Mutharasan said that Lalit Modi should be brought to India and his links with Sushma Swaraj, Vasundhara Raje, besides Priyanka and Robert Vadra should be probed along with the the IPL scam.

“A special court could be set up like in the 2G scam by the Supreme Court,” he said even as he criticised the auctioning of players in IPL by comparing it to human trade.  Pandian also sought the resignation of Madhya Pradesh chief minister, Shivaraj Chauhan for the CBI to conduct a free and fair investigation into the Vyapam scam.

“To have a fair probe, Shivaraj Chauhan should resign as the scam has been shrouded in mystery with as many as 46 persons dying under mysterious circumstances,” he said.  The CPI leader also asked the government to release the caste based census. The NDA government has been acting in favour of big corporate houses by attempting to dilute the labour laws.

“It also wanted to give away agricultural lands to corporates by bringing in land acquisition bill,” said D. Pandian. He said that around 6,000 delegates are likely to participate in the four-day national-level conference of AITUC, which begins in Coimbatore on December 15.
