Hyderabad: Chances of heavy rains lashing TS and AP in the next four days are very low despite the low pressure formation over Bay of Bengal, IMD officials said speaking about the state of the south west monsoon.
“The inference for the next four days for the states of TS and coastal AP remains light to moderate. The inference will be revised next week depending on whether the low pressure further strengthens or materialises into a depression,” said assistant meteorologist IMD Hyderabad, Narasimha Rao.
A low pressure area has formed over North Bay of Bengal and adjoining coastal areas of Bangladesh and West Bengal and according to IMD inference, in the next four days, light to moderate rain or thunder showers would occur at isolated places over TS, coastal AP and Rayalseema.
There was not much rainfall activity in the two states in the last 24 hours and isolated rain occurred. The maximum amount of rainfall of 2 cm was recorded at Alur in Kurnool district of Rayalaseema.
