Neela Babu collapsed after emerging first in the race

Visakhapatnam: In a tragic incident at the ongoing army recruitment rally, one participant Ponnada Neela Babu, 20, suffered cardiac arrest and died while undergoing treatment at a corporate hospital here on Wednesday.
Neela Babu collapsed after emerging first in the race. He was immediately rushed to King George Hospital and later to a private corporate hospital for better medical care. Neela Babu belongs to Tudi village of Veeraghattam in Srikakulam district. In the race that was held on Wednesday at the port stadium he won and immediately collapsed due to suffocation.
“He was immediately rushed to KGH where he was given initial treatment and later he was taken to a corporate hospital for better treatment. We tried our best to save his life but he succumbed to the cardiac arrest, ” said a representative of the corporate hospital.
