Washington: Michelle Obama has recently given a new look to the White House State dining room and the changes have swept a whopping amount of US $5,90,000.

It is being said that the White House Endowment Trust paid for the cost of re-decoration, which is a private fund run by the White House Historical Association.

This is not the first time that the 51-year-old First Lady has upped the decor at the White House as she had replaced the fine china with a new set of Kailua Blue, given a mini facelift to the Old Family Dining Room and added her own personal finishing touches.

The current re-decor seems to include new silk drapes in beige and blue stripes as well as a new set of mahogany dining chairs.
