Jakarta: Indonesian police say a low-explosive homemade bomb caused an explosion at a shopping mall southwest of the capital.

The explosion Thursday in a restroom at Alam Sutera mall in the Serpong region of Banten province, just outside Jakarta, caused no casualties.

National police chief Gen. Badrodin Haiti said Friday that an investigation is still underway to find the perpetrators and motive. The bomb was made of materials easily bought in free markets.

Indonesia, the world's most populous Muslim nation and with a secular central government, has seen a series of terrorist bomb attacks since the Bali nightclubs bombings in 2002, which killed 202 people, mostly foreign tourists.
