Ongole: An honour killing incident came to light after four years of the murder on Friday. A man had killed his daughter for marrying her lover against the wishes of the family. The boy belonged to another caste. 
 
The man murdered his daughter with the help of three others and lodged a missing complaint in the Kurichedu police station. The issue came to light on Thursday when he surrendered before the police. 
 
According to Darsi circle inspector, K.V. Raghavendra, the prime accused in the murder case, P. Venkata Reddy, who hails from Darsi in Prakasam district and resides near Leela Mahal cinema theatre in Vijayawada city, was running a cold drink shop in the same area. His second daughter Bhargavi, who completed Intermediate, used to sit at the shop. She fell in love with Vijaya Kumar of Bramarambapuram in Vijayawada city. They decided to marry against the wishes of Bhargavi’s parents. They went to Amaravati and married on March 26, 2011. 
 
On coming to know of the marriage, Venkata Reddy hired two killers with the help of his friends who strangled Bhargavi to death and dumped her body in the NSP canal water. 
However, Venkata Reddy later started regretting the his act and unable to bear the mental agony, surrendered  at the Darsi police station on Thursday. Police arrested Venkata Reddy two of his aides. Cops have formed a special team to arrest another accused Rajesh Chowdary.
