Tirupati: Telugu Nadu Student Federation leaders of S.V. University on Friday lodged a complaint against private B. Ed college representatives who were trying to woo the students to join in their institutes.
In a complaint, they mentioned that the private college persons were cheating the students by giving concession in fee and by offering gifts to attract them convincing the students not to join in university campus.
It may be noted that the B. Ed counselling has started Friday at the old MBA building whereas the counselling for PG courses started four days ago at Srinivasa Auditorium. Some private B. Ed colleges and PG colleges including Narayana from Nellore, KKC College from Puttur, and Rajarajeswari College from Kadapa started campaign at Old MBA building as well as Srinivasa
Auditorium in the university campus.
After observing the private colleges' campaign, TNSF activists tried to create awareness to them that they were doing unfair and also against the university act. But, the private college people entered into argument with TNSF leaders leading to a quarrel and the private college campaign persons manhandled a TNSF activist.
After knowing the incident, all TNSF university president Rammohan and others reached the old MBA building and lodged a complaint with SV University police about the incident and urged them to take action against private colleges representatives.
The university police said that the campaign and joining of students in private colleges by distorting the facts were increasing in the university campus and they said they will take necessary action against them to contain unauthorised campaign.
