Trujet launches its maiden flight service
The first flight took off from Hyderabad to Tirupati
Hyderabad: Hyderabad-based regional low-cost carrier TruJet, part of Turbo Megha Airways, has launched its service on Sunday as its maiden flight took off from Hyderabad to Tirupati. Union Civil aviation minister Ashok Gajapathi Raju inaugurated the first commercial flight of TruJet at the Shamshabad Airport.
The newest regional airline, which is currently focused on south India, is promoted by a group of investors including Ram Charan Tej, Telugu film actor and the son of veteran actor Chiranjeevi. The airline plans to expand its service to western India later. Union minister of state for labour and employment Bandaru Dattatreya and Telangana’s information technology and panchayat raj minister K.T. Rama Rao attended the function.
