LB Nagar ATM robbery foiled
Around 1 am, thieves entered the SBI ATM
Hyderabad: Thieves made another futile attempt to rob an SBI ATM at LB Nagar on Saturday night. The incident happened at the ATM booth near Kamineni Hospital.
The thieves, who tried to open the machine using screw drivers, fled on noticing customers. A customer who came to withdraw money from the ATM, saw the machine half opened and alerted the police. Police said that at around 1 am, thieves entered the SBI ATM center located in the lane opposite Kamineni Hospital.
“It looks that they tried to open the machine using a screw driver. But they could not succeed. A customer who came to withdraw money alerted us,” said LB Nagar inspector E. Srinivasa Reddy. However, no complaint was filed by SBI authorities. “We will take action if the bank files a complaint,” the inspector added.
