Vijayawada: Cops suspect role of family behind murder
The dead body was seen by locals in Gollapudi the next day and alerted the police

Vijayawada: Cops are close to crack the murder of unidentified man whose body was found at Bhavanipuram a fortnight ago. Investigators who acquired CCTV footage found that four persons including two women and two men belonging to Guntur district arrived in Vijayawada with the victim before killing him at Gollapudi on June 27.
The dead body was seen by locals in Gollapudi the next day and alerted the police. Since no person came forward to claim the dead body police started thoroughly checking CCTC footage from bus station and found the deceased man along with four others.
Through footages collected from various locations police found that they belong to Guntur district but could not locate exact mandal or village. “Since there is no surveillance footage at bus stations in Guntur district we couldn’t get any clue,” an official said.
Since no one came to claim the body even after photo of the deceased appeared on newspapers, police suspect that his family members including wife could be behind the murder as the footages show men and women along with the diseased.
Guntur police were also alerted to pursue the case and were given footage and pictures of the suspects and victim to get more information.
