New Delhi: The CBI on Sunday constituted a special team of 40 officers, under a joint director-level officer, to probe the multi-crore Vyapam scam in Madhya Pradesh.

The Supreme Court on Thursday had ordered the CBI to probe all cases related to the scam following a spate of mysterious deaths of people linked to the cases.

Decoding: What Vyapam scam is all about

According to sources the team comprising officers from different branches of the CBI will reach Bhopal on Monday to take over investigations in the scam.

The agency sleuths remained tight-lipped on the information about the officers who would be part of the team or who will head it. Sources said the agency will directly take over all FIRs (more than 50) registered by the Special Task Force for further probe.
