Sobha Yatra takes off at Visakhapatnam

The holy water brought by the pilgrims as part of Sobha Yatra will be distributed to locals

HRD Minister Ganta Srinivasa Rao flags off the Sobha Yarta of buses for Godavari Pushkaralu from Simhachalam temple in Visakhapatnam on Sunday.
VisakhapatnamHRD minister Ganta  Srinivas Rao flagged off Pushkara Sobha Yatra at Varaha Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy temple at Simhachalam here on Sunday. As part of the Sobha Yatra, pilgrims will go to various ghats in Rajhamundry as part of Pushka-rulu in the state government arranged buses and come back with sacred water from river Godavari. 
 
The holy water brought by the pilgrims as part of Sobha Yatra will be distributed to locals. Speaking on the occasion, the minister said that elaborate arrangements have been made by the state government for the convenience of the visiting pilgrims at Rajahmundry and surrounding areas. 
 
“The government has appointed various committees with state cabinet ministers to oversee the arrangements,” said Mr Srinivasa Rao.  Meanwhile, to provide comfort and safe journey to the pilgrims of Godavari Puskaralu, Waltair Division of East Coast Railway commissioned helpdesks at important railways stations.
