Rumours about ‘that special person’ in actress Priyamani’s life have been doing the rounds for some time now. The doe-eyed beauty brought an end to all the speculations about her love life on the latest episode of a popular dance reality show, D4 Dance, in which she is a judge. She revealed the name of her beau, Mumbai based Mustafa Raj.
Opening up more about her partner, Priyamani shared with DC that she has no plans to tie the knot anytime soon. “We have been in love for the past four years and I spoke out about it now, because my friends wanted me to do it. Since Mustafa is shy of being in the limelight, it took me a while to get his consent for the same. So far I am only planning to divulge this much about us. I promise that I will soon announce it through a press note as well,” she said with a smile.
Priyamani became close to Mustafa, who is active in the event management business, in Mumbai during the Celebrity Cricket League matches, when she was the brand ambassador for one of the participating teams. “We were good friends initially and eventually realised that we really gel well. It was me who told him about my feelings first. I messaged him, ‘I Like You’ and it took him weeks to understand that I am serious,” quips the actress.
The couple is happy that their parents have accepted their relationship. She says that their marriage will happen with everybody’s blessings. “Our families are happy and we are really glad that they have accepted our relationship. We will be coming together for the grand finale of the reality show that I judge,” she adds.
Apart from her television stint, Priyamani is busy with films in Kollywood, Tollywood and Sandalwood. Her next Kannada film, Vyuha, (it will also be released in Tamil) where she appears as a CBI officer will be released in August. “My character Gayathri is a CBI officer, in a kind of extended cameo. The twist in the film comes through my character, as it intelligently solves a very complicated case,” she explains.
She also has two Malayalam projects and another Kannada movie in the pipeline. “I have signed for Kalavoor Ravikumar’s next movie and the other one, I cannot reveal the name. I also have Kannada director Yogaraj Bhat’s movie,” she says.
