Man kills his five-day old infant daughter in Anantapur
He put the body in a gunny & threw it into a deserted well on the outskirts of the village
Anantapur: A man killed his five-day old infant daughter angry over his wife giving birth to a girl in her fourth delivery at Kanakanadinne in Kurnool district. The man’s mother forced him to kill her granddaughter.
Police said that Maheswari, the mother of the infant married U. Ramanjineyulu eight years ago. She had two daughters aged five and three. Maheswari and her husband were working as farm labourers in the village. Two years ago when Maheswari gave birth to a girl in her third delivery, Ramanjineyulu allegedly killed the infant without the knowledge of his wife and her relatives. The issue did not come to light.
Ramanjineyulu was behaving aggressively with his wife and infant since four days for giving birth to a girl instead of a boy. On Sunday night Ramanjineyulu took out the baby from the bed while the mother was asleep and killed her by using a pillow. Later, he put the body in a gunny bag and threw it into a deserted well on the outskirts of the village.
The mother found the baby was missing on Monday morning and argued about the missing baby with her husband and his mother. Later, the villagers informed Pathikonda police and cops arrested Ramanjineyulu. The body of the infant was taken out from the well and sent for postmortem.
