CBI to probe MP Governor's alleged role in the multi-crore Vyapam scam
The Supreme Court had ordered the CBI to probe all cases related to the scam

New Delhi: The CBI on Monday took over the investigation of the multi-crore Vyapam scam in Madhya Pradesh. It will also probe MP Governor Ram Naresh Yadav’s alleged role.
The Supreme Court had on Thursday ordered the CBI to probe all cases related to the scam following a spate of mysterious deaths of people linked to the cases. A CBI team led by a joint director-level officer on Monday began preliminary consultations with the MP police special task force that investigated the numerous cases related to the scam.
The 40-member CBI team, headed by joint director R.P. Agarwal, held discussions with STF head Sudhir Sahi. Mr Agarwal is posted as CBI joint director, anti-corruption department.
