Acer xb240h monitor

When looking at the svelte bezel of the Acer xb240h monitor, the word premium resonates in the mind. What is it that you’ll be getting by shelling out a whopping Rs 28,000 for this monitor? The short answer is, class.  First off, this monitor comes with a full swivel stand that allows you to set not only the tilt of the monitor, but also the vertical height. This was a feature only reserved for the most high end models of all monitor makers.

Moreover, this monitor offers the much coveted 144hz refresh rate, something that has become a benchmark for all those who play first person shooter games. It may disappoint you to know that the monitor offers a maximum resolution of only 1080p. However, the high refresh rate and the 1 ms response time kind of make up for the paltry resolution of this TN panel.

When coming to the input options, you have one HDMI, one DVI, one Display Port as well as a VGA port. The monitor itself ships with three out of the four cables, with only the HDMI cable being omitted. Essentially you will be able to take full advantage of the 144hz refresh rate, provided your rig can pump out the pixels. What was most surprising about the display was that even though it is a TN panel, the display angles were pretty solid over a decent range.

All in all, this is a fantastic monitor for those who want to take their gaming experience to the next level. The only thing that may set potential buyers back is that steep Rs 28,000 price tag. With BenQ launching an identically specced monitor at the Rs 24,000 range, Acer may have to rethink the pricing of this wonderful product in the near future.
