With the Simbu-starrer Vaalu getting released this Friday, sources say that though the actor could have left the project mid-way and was given that option, he didn’t do it. The film, which originally started shooting in 2012, is finally gearing up for release.
Sources close to director Vijay Chander say that he would be indebted to Simbu for being with the crew through this rough phase. The unit actually took a small break after the first schedule, which they later regretted.
“Actors were busy with multiple projects, so the crew had to wait,” the source added. While the delay was inevitable, Vaalu, a full-on entertainer, is believed to be a special project in Simbu’s career, because the script will do well for the actor's image. Vaalu’s script revolves around a guy from a middle class family and his love and his friends. “It will be like a film aimed at entertaining different sections of the audience irrespective of their age. With a lot of ‘mass’ elements in the story, everyone can relate to it easily,” the source revealed. Vaalu has Hansika Motwani playing Simbu’s love interest.
