Hyderabad: Ramesh would remain a mute spectator while Shyamala would torture Prathyusha. The teenager said, “My father never intervened as he always suspected whether I was his real child. He openly stated that he doubted my mother and was not sure whose child I was.”
Ramesh is still absconding and the police are on a look out for him. Mr Achyuta Rao of the Balala Hakula Sangam said, “We are trying to find out if he (Ramesh) brought her back from the orphanage because of the property. The independent house in Kukatpally is three-storied and highly priced. The police is also looking into this angle and they are trying to find out more details.”
When asked about her stepmother, Prathyusha recalls that she was an assistant to her mother in the beauty parlour. She says, “She came as a maid in 1993 and then learnt all the skills in the beauty parlour. Whenever she beat me, she would state that she had nothing against me but a lot of anger against my mother. As she is not alive, all the frustration was taken out on me.”
