Panjim: A fully-grown crocodile was sighted at Goa beach on Thursday by forest department.
The Morim beach, 30 kms from state capital is also famous among foreigners.
The photos of crocodile were put up on Facebook by a local resident. Confirming the news, forest authorities said that the crocodile might have strayed into the beach after being chased by dogs.
Deputy conservator of forests DNF Carvalho said, "It is not from the sea. It must have come from the Chapora river, which flows into the sea at Morjim. It must have been chased by the dogs and that is why it ended there.”
