Woman arrested for molesting auto rickshaw driver in Delhi

New Delhi: Delhi Police on Thursday arrested a 32-year-old woman, Renu Lalwani, for allegedly forcing an auto driver to have sex with her. According to reports, the auto driver claimed that there was another woman with her from Tanzania who tried to record the act in her mobile phone.

In his complaint, the driver, Umesh Prasad alleged that one of the two women hired his rickshaw on Wednesday afternoon from Saket to Arjun Nagar.

At Arjun Nagar, she invited the driver to her flat on the pretext of paying him. After offering him water, the woman suddenly locked the doors from inside and sought sexual favours from the driver, which he denied. The woman later forced herself on him by tearing his clothes and kissing him. Meanwhile, her friend was recording the whole act in her mobile phone.

In an attempt to escape the torture, Umesh fractured his legs after trying to jump from the balcony of first floor.

Delhi police who is investigating the incident said that before the ride from Saket, the woman had borrowed Rs 300 from the auto-rickshaw driver, saying that she would return the money after reaching her destination. Instead she robbed the driver of all his money, police was quoted as saying.

Police also recovered four badges and four driving licenses of auto drivers from Lalwani, indicating that the women may have trapped other drivers similarly.
