BENGALURU: A 36-year-old physically challenged man went missing after taking part in the Bengaluru 10K Challenge that was held on Sunday. Manjunath, who was representing Shristi Special Academy, a school for intellectually and physically disadvantaged individuals, went missing from the PES junction on the NICE corridor, where the event was held.

“Manjunath was one of the regular runners from the Academy and has successfully completed many 5K and 10K runs in and outside Bengaluru earlier and even finished a 21K run, along with other team members of Shristi, and is quite independent. Manjunath is a person with special needs. He cannot hear and speak. He has low vision and has moderate intellectual disability. He is tall (around 5'7") and has dark complexion. He was wearing grey with red collar special olympics t-shirt with black track pants and above it the event's (Bengaluru 10K Challenge) white t-shirt during the run,” a release by the Academy stated.

“He was last seen by the team members during the run and was spotted by a few others at the breakfast area after the run. But, he could not be traced at the end of the event. Frantic search by our team members and a police complaint have not yielded any result so far,” it added. If any one comes across Manjunath, they are requested to inform Dhananjay on 9480235838.
