Samsung shows off its slimmest phablet
Samsung's new Galaxy phablet sports a 16MP high-resolution camera
No more a rumor or a hoax!
Samsung has finally unveiled new slimmest handset in its A-series category - Samsung Galaxy A8, powered by the fingerprint technology. Samsung Galaxy A8 basically features a 5.7-inch (1080 x 1920 pixel) Full HD Super AMOLED screen and its thickness measures around 5.9mm. Under the hood, the phablet is equipped Snapdragon 615 chipset and offers 2GB of RAM.
The newly unveiled Samsung Galaxy A8 phablet will likely be available in two variants:
- Samsung Galaxy A8 16GB
- Samsung Galaxy A8 32GB
Both these variants of Samsung Galaxy A8 run on Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system. Additionally, Samsung claims that the storage capacity of Samsung Galaxy A8 can be expanded up to 128GB via microSD card. Its 16MP rear camera can capture high-resolution photos. On its front, Samsung Galaxy A8 also offers a 5MP camera.
Samsung Galaxy A8 phablet also supports 4G LTE, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS with Glonass and Beidou and NFC. Samsung Galaxy A8 is fuelled by a 3050mAh battery and is expected to be priced below Rs 50,000.
It will be available in three different colours - black, white and gold.
