Hyderabad: Thirteen boys ran away from the government rescue home on Thursday night. The boys, aged between 12 and 15, opened the window grill of a room on the ground floor and escaped.

The home, in the Allwyn colony at Kukatpally, has nearly 52 boys, who were rescued. The police has registered a missing case.

The home is maintained by the Department of Women and Child Welfare. Sources said the children were depressed due to lack of freedom.

Most of them want to go back to their parents, but it is delayed by lengthy processes.
