International molestation scandal leaves Bollywood red-faced

Mumbai: The accusation of molestation in a Northern Island hotel against hotshot cricket physiotherapist Dr. Aijaz Bashir Ashai has had a snowballing affect on the Hindi film industry.

Dr Ashai is a close friend of almost every Bollywood hero who plays cricket.

“And that just about covers 80 per cent of Bollywood’s top guys. Aijaz is in and out of almost every star home. The Indian film industry swears by his name and considers him a wizard in healing cricket injuries,” says a Bollywood director who has been administered physiotherapy by Dr. Ashai on quite a few occasions after on-field injuries.

Says the director, “Dr. Ashai is a constant fixture at every injured cricketer’s bedside. He is especially close to Salman and Sohail Khan. The molestation accusation in Ireland, and that too when he was accompanying the National Nepal cricket team, is very embarrassing for Bollywood. Dr Ashai’s proximity to the who’s-who of the film industry is well-known.”

Understandably most of his star-clients from Bollywood chose a stoic silence as a means to camouflaging their discomfort.
