Ilaiyaraaja to helm MS Viswanathan tribute show

Maestro Ilaiyaraaja, who considered the late legend MS Viswanathan to be his guru, has once said that every MSV song is a priceless jewel. “I became a music composer only because of listening to MSV’s music. If I have achieved anything in music, I humbly submit that at the feet of MSV,” Raja remarked. As a tribute to the late legendary ‘Mellisai Mannar’, Ilaiyaraaja is presenting a show Enullil Ulle MSV on July 27 to coincide with the 13th day ceremony of MSV. The event helmed by Ilaiyaraaja will feature the evergreen classics of Viswanathan which will be rendered by various playback singers. The show will be held at 6 pm at Kamaraj Arangam. Sources say that a part of the proceeds from the event will go to the MSV Trust which is being formed on that day.
