Man falls from hotel window, dies on spot

He climbed on to the window parapet to hide himself from his friends and slipped

HyderabadA Bengaluru-based professional died after he accidentally fell from a window on the fourth floor of a hotel on Saturday. The victim, climbed on to the window parapet to hide himself from his friends and slipped when he tried to enter the room through the window.
 
Police said that Angelo Rodrigues, 34, a native of Bengaluru, was working for an NGO dealing with solid waste management. As part of a new project, Angelo and 17 others came to Hyderabad on July 1 and had recently shifted to Hotel Abode at Lakdikapul.
 
On Saturday at around 4 am, Angelo checked into a separate room  along with  a female colleague to stay with him in the same room. His friends, however, were unaware of the women being with him.
 
“At around 6.30 am, his friends knocked on the door to wake him up. Thinking that they would misunderstand him seeing him with the woman, he climbed on to the window parapet and hid himself. When he they left the room, he tried to enter through the same window and he slipped,” said Saifabad SI Hari Advaith. The woman opened the door and went to her friends, but did not know that he had fallen to his death. A case was booked.
