'Bajrangi Bhaijaan' passes Pakistan's censor board with a few cuts
A few dialogue cuts and scenes have been chopped from the film
Mumbai: Salman Khan is currently riding on the success of his recently released film ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’. The film made it across borders when it was passed by Pakistan’s censor board.
Chairman of the Sindh Censor Board, Fakhr-e-alam had tweeted about the film prior to its release in India, calling it the 'most positive film for Pakistan that Bollywood has produced in a long time'
Salman Khan thanked the censor board for passing the film, as he believes more people should watch 'Bajrangi Bhaijaan' because love for children is above all boundaries".
However the film had to go through a few cuts before passing the censor board. According to reports a number of scenes and a few dialogues have been chopped from the final print which is being screened in Pakistan.
The dialogues ‘Pakistani bohot martey hain’, ‘Woh Pakistani is ka kia haal kreygey’ and interestingly ‘Kashmir ka chota sa hisa hamrey pass bhi hai.’ Have all been cut from the final print of the film.
As for the scenes from the film, the scene where the Pakistani embassy is under attack has been deleted, this is exactly when Salman’s character goes to the embassy to request a visa for Munni so she can cross the border and be reunited with her parents. As well as shots of soldiers from the Pakistani Army and the concluding scene where ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’ is being chanted have been chopped from the final edit.
Fakhr-e-alam even took to Twitter to ask viewers to highlight any anti-Pakistan or anti-Islam dialogues or scenes in the film, and urged Pakistani moviegoers to also watch the two films ‘Bin Roye’ and ‘Wrong No’ which opened at the Pakistani box office with ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’.
