Hyderabad: An 18-year-old boy died in an accident in the Kushaiguda area on Monday. The incident happened, when the boy was going towards ECIL on his bike and a truck hit him. The boy who completed Intermediate in March, was going to ECIL to search for a degree college for his studies.
The deceased Cheruvu Ravikiran was a resident of Kushaiguda and the only son of Cheruvu Shankar. He completed Intermediate from Medhavi College and was planning to take up CA. Shankar is working as a sales person in a textile shop in Malkjagiri.
“He finished Intermediate recently and was planning to join CA course. But all our hopes are shattered,” said Shankar, Ravikiran’s father. “At around 7.30 am, when Ravikiran reached the Karnataka Bank area in Kushaiguda a truck hit him from behind and he was killed on the spot,” said SI Sudhakar. “I called him on his mobile to know where he was. But to our shock, a cop answered the call and said that my friend met with an accident and had died,” said Sudhakar, a childhood friend of Ravikiran. The police has launched a hunt to nab the truck driver.
