Hyderabad: Though Governor E.S.L. Narasimhan has different reasons, citing lack of clear directives and operation manual for implementing Section 8, the Centre has reportedly made up its mind to replace him with a political person.
According to a Union minister, Mr Narasim-han will be shifted to another state and the transfer will be effected only after conclusion of the Monsoon Session of Parliament. “There are a few vacancies in Raj Bhavans, all appointments will be made some time in August,” added the source.
On demitting office as director, Intelligence Bureau on December 31, 2006, Mr Narasimhan had taken over as Governor of Chhattisgarh on January 25, 2007. He was made Governor of Andhra Pradesh in January, 2010.
After completing five years in office, he was re-appointed for another term of five years in May 2012. Later he assumed charge of the office of the Governor of Telangana from June 2, 2014, consequent to bifurcation of AP State.
