New games in town
Here are a few titles that you need to look out for
Innovation is a word that is getting obliterated from the vocabulary of AAA game developers as they continue to recycle and churn out by the book, run of the mill titles that will ensure them great sales numbers. Sure there are a few that stand out in the AAA sphere, however most big name developers are choosing the easy way out by continuously going with what sells copies. This has led to a huge vacuum in the gaming industry for fresh new concepts, a void that is fast being filled up by interesting and entertaining games from small independent developers. The best part about most indie games is that they don’t carry the hefty $60 price tag on Steam and are quite often really amazing. Here are a few of these gems that you ought to try out:
Spectra
This crazy racer has procedurally generated tracks that evolve to a groovy electronic soundtrack. The music is awesome, the game gets really challenging towards the end of any track at any given difficulty level and the 8-bit visuals are colourful and frankly, great.

Olympia Rising
