Rajinikanth-starrer Kochadaiiyaan which released last year was the first movie in Kollywood to have used motion capture technology to a large extent. Debutant director Sakthivel Perumalsamy has now incorporated the technique in Urumeen which has Bobby Simha in the lead.
Touted as a revenge thriller, we have heard that the movie has some portions which use motion picture technology.
A source says, “The technology has been used only for few segments in the movie as the makers felt it would bring the desired effect to the scenes. While watching the film, one will understand as to why motion capture technology has been used in the movie.”
The film has been in the news since its trailer was rejected by the Censor Board owing to a misleading tagline and its core theme. Kalaiyarasan of Madras fame is another actor who plays a pivotal role in the movie.
