Mumbai: Man arrested within hours for brother's murder
The weapon used in the crime was also recovered
Mumbai: Crime Branch of Mumbai Police has arrested a notorious criminal for the murder of his younger brother. Faiyaz Sheikh alias Pappu Pager (32) was arrested on Tuesday for allegedly stabbed his brother with a knife because the latter often taunted him, said Pandhrinath Wahval, in-charge of crime branch unit 8.
"Within three hours of the murder police arrested the accused, who is a ruthless criminal having more than two dozen criminal cases registered against him at various police stations of the city," said Wahval.
Police learnt that he was hiding in the slums of Govandi, and arrested him from Bainganwadi area. The weapon used in the crime was also recovered. Further probe in the case is on, Wahval said.
