HyderabadThe Hyderabad High Court on Tuesday directed the assistant solicitor general to ascertain from the Centre about allocation of funds to the AP government for establishment of a separate High Court for AP and submit the information before it by July 30.

A division bench comprising Acting Chief Justice Dilip B. Bhosale and Justice S.V. Bhatt was dealing with a petition by Sarasani Satyam Reddy, senior advocate of the HC and others seeking to quash the notifications issued for recruitment of junior civil judges and other judicial officer posts after formation of TS.

During the hearing, the bench said “the matters relating to division of the lower judiciary among the states of Telangana and AP is pending before the Supreme Court and it is not proper for the High Court to take a decision on the issue when the matters are pending before the apex court.”

The bench also made it clear that the separation of lower judiciary among both the states could not be possible without creation of separate HCs for both the states.
