Capital expansion may benefit TD men
The leaders and their kin may benefit from the new capital expansion plans

Vijayawada: Leaders of political parties, especially Telugu Desam, may benefit from the capital expansion proposal. The villages of Kanchikacherla Tadikonda and Amaravati mandals are native areas of several important leaders of Krishna and Guntur Telugu Desam.
Now, the leaders and their kin may benefit from the new capital expansion plans. According to sources, not only these leaders, several prominent BJP and TD leaders also picked up lands in the limits of the new capital location.
According to the new plan, the state government will expand capital location boundaries for another 174 sq. kms out of which 144 sq. kms stretch is marked in Guntur district and 30 sq kms is in Krishna district.
The state government also hinted in the plan that several nearest villages to Amaravati will come under expansion limits. Similarly, the stretch of 30 sq. km additional area-2 comes under the limits of Kanchikacherla area.
According to the new plan, villages like Vaikuntapuram, Pedamadduru, Karlapudi, Lemalle, Endrai, Tadikonda, Pedaparimi, Narukullapdu, Enikepadu, Amaravati, Dharanikota, Muttayapalem and Lingpuram may come under the 144 sq. kms additional area stretch in the mandals of Amaravati and Tadikonda in Guntur district.
The native areas of several TD leaders and several prominent persons come under the new expansion plans. TD leader and Union minister Y. Sujana Chowdary’s native is Ponnavaram village near Kanchikacherla.
AP irrigation minister, Devineni Umamaheswara Rao’s family is settled in Kanchikacherla. Now, the entire area is under the additional 30 sq kms limits. MP Rayapati Sambasiva Rao’s native village Unguturu is adjacent to Lemalle village. His family has ancestral properties in this area.
Former TD MP, Y.V. Rao’s native village is Leamalle and former MLA, Y. VAnjaneyulu’s native place is Narukullapadu. TD MLA, D. Sridhar’s village Pedakurapadu is near Amaravati and he has realty business in the limits.
Besides, minister P. Pulla Rao has relations in the villages and BJP MP, Ganga Raju has huge properties in the area. Moreover, it is learnt that a BJP top leader’s daughter and film hero turned MP and some other top TD leaders bagged lands in nominal prices.
