Hyderabad: A senior IAS officer said that since the phone tapping issue, Mr Naidu is of the opinion that Hyderabad no longer safe for taking important decisions and discussions. He alleged that if a delegation from a major foreign company comes to Hyderabad to discuss setting up a unit in AP with Mr Naidu, the Telangana state government might try and pressurise the delegation to set up their unit in TS instead.
The Singapore government had handed over the master plan for the new capital city of Amaravati to Mr Naidu in Hyderabad on May 25. The seed capital master plan was supposed to be handed over in Hyderabad, but following the phone tapping issue, the venue was shifted to Rajahmundry. An IAS officer said that that the AP government had effectively shifted to AP from Hyderabad.
