Now onwards, Governor won’t be Chancellor of Universities in Telangana

CM held a meet with Deputy Chief Minister Kadiam Srihari to discuss the issue

Hyderabad: As per changes being planned by Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao, the Governor will not be chancellor of universities in the state.

The CM has suggested that each varsity be headed by an individual chancellor instead of the Governor being the head of all state varsities. The power to appoint chancellors will lie with the government.

On Tuesday, the CM held a meet with Deputy Chief Minister Kadiam Srihari to discuss the issue.
