Cyient acquires P&W subsidiary

Hyderabad: Hyderabad-based technology firm Cyient Ltd (formerly Infotech Enterprises) on Wednesday announced that it has acquired Singapore-based Global Services Engineering Asia from Pratt & Whitney Services Pte for an undisclosed sum.

“We are committed to grow aerospace aftermarket services in the region and expand reach into other industries within Singapore,” said Cyient managing director and CEO Krishna Bodanapu. The company, which focuses on aerospace engineering and software among other segments, said that the deal is expected to close at the end of August.

Through this transaction, Mr Bodanapu said Cyient will build on its growth strategy for the Asia Pacific region, specifically in aftermarket services for the aerospace industry.
