Hyderabad: Telangana state Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao on Wednesday warned his AP counterpart N. Chandrababu Naidu and AP leaders of “serious retaliation” if they belittled Hyderabadis.
Speaking in Rajahmundry, Mr Naidu had said that it was N.T. Rama Rao who had advised people of Hyderabad to wake up early and that people should do more mental work than physical work.
Mr Rao was furious over what he called the “continued jealousy of TS, foolish attack on TS people and society, its culture and traditions by AP leaders, besides uncalled for comparison between Hyderabad and Amaravati”.
“What kind of culture is this? I thought of leaving it to his wisdom. But if someone belittles TS society, we will go to any extent. Let them construct at Amaravati or Aravalli. In what way is TS concerned,” Mr Rao asked.
He added, “If people like Dasaradhi had been alive, he would have hit them out.” Speaking at the Dasaradhi Krishnamacharyulu memorial award, Mr Rao praised poet Dasaradhi for his contribution to TS literature. He also said there could be no comparison between Hyderabad and Amaravati.
