Mumbai: After a video of a Pakistani journalist Chand Nawab went viral few years back while recording at a railway station, he is back in news after the release of Kabir Khan’s ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’. Nawazuddin Siddiqui character, going by the same name, has an intro scene in the film based on the 2008 footage that went viral and it has been recreated frame-to-frame.

Talking to Gulf News Chand Nawab was quoted saying, “I am a poor journalist and don’t want to deal with the legalities, but I expect Khan to give me a compensation for using me as an inspiration for a character,”

In the video that went viral in 2008, Chand Nawab is seen struggling to report a live scene at a railway station because of the crowd.

Chand is not taking any legal action with the makers but is only hoping that he gets some compensation. In an interview with Hindustan Times he has expressed his desire to catch up with Salman Khan and Kabir Khan soon. “ Wherever Salman Khan calls me, I will go. If he comes to Pakistan to meet me, he will be my guest. If I have to go to India to meet him, I will be his guest,” he told HT.

Reportedly, the journalist is getting many offers in Pakistan to appear in TV commercials.
