3 youths held with 20 stamps of LSD at Chathari

Police claimed that they had recovered vital clues for further probe into the case connected with drug consumption and supply

KOCHI: The police  arrested three youths, all IT professionals,  with 20 stamps of LSD, a dreaded party drug, from an apartment complex at  Chathari near Tripunithura on Thursday.

They  were  identified as Ebin C. Sleeba 26, son of Sleeba of Chathoth Veetil near Kanjiramattom, Steeson Joy, 26, son of Joy of Chembothuruthu Veetil near Chithrapuzha and Geever John, 21, son of K.I. John of Palal veetil near Ambalamukal.

The arrests were made during a special search operation launched in areas coming under the Hill Palace police station limits by Bijo Alexander, ACP Thrikkakkara.

According to a statement by the police,  the raid was conducted with the full cooperation of the inmates of the Star Homes apartment complex.

The police also claimed that they had  recovered vital clues for further probe into the case connected with drug consumption and supply.  

The arrested  are IT professionals and they have also engaged in making short films, police sources said. They were remanded in  judicial custody by a local court.

A special investigation team will be constituted to observe the persons,  including women, who frequently  visited the flat  in which the arrested  used to reside, police sources said.

They also indicated that more arrests were likely in the case.
