Rajahmundry: Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu on Friday gave a pat to all those involved in organising the Maha Pushkaralu, saying that it was due to the collective efforts and coordination of all the departments that the mega event has become a huge success. Speaking at a public meeting at Rajahmundry, Mr Naidu said that the experience would help the AP government generate wealth as the collective efforts would be utilised to streamline administration.

Lauding residents of Rajahmundry for their generous hospitality extended to pilgrims visiting the city from across the country for the Maha Pushkaralu, he urged them to continue the same for Saturday, the last day.

Mr Naidu said that the sanitation department has worked hard round-the-clock to ensure roads are clean, and also praised the fire service department personnel who cleaned the area with water every two hours, through the day.

“The police department also did a great job by providing various services to the pilgrims apart from maintaining law and order and guiding the visitors,” the CM said.

He said that except for the tragedy that struck the first day, everything went well because of the team spirit shown by the entire workforce that was engaged in the Pushkaralu works in both East and West Godavari districts.
