Guntur: The Godavari Pushkaralu has switched Vijayawada-Chennai national highway, bus-stands and railway stations in the region into dining and resting places. People who are going to and returning from Pushkaralu ghats are camping on the greenery along the side lanes of the NH to eat and rest.

The business of the restaurants has also increased, largely for the past one week, due to devotee rush on the NH. Hotels along the Vijayawada-Chennai highway are filled with Pushkaralu pilgrims. A hotel owner, N. Krishna said that all hotels are running full and round-the-clock due to huge demand from the pilgrims

A large number of  people are going to Rajahmundry by private vehicles due to the shortage of train and bus services. A devotee from Ongole, B. Venu, who was resting along with friends at the highway side, said that buses and trains are running overcrowded so they have hired a mini van.
