I am not yet engaged, there is time for marriage: Katrina Kaif
There were reports of Katrina and Ranbir exchanging rings on her birthday
Mumbai: Bollywood actress Katrina Kaif has denied reports that she is getting engaged to actor Ranbir Kapoor, saying there is time for marriage. There were reports that 32-year-old actress and Ranbir got engaged on July 16, which was Katrina's birthday.
"I am glad you asked this question. I am not engaged. You guys are sweet you seem to want me to get married. But there are no such plans now...so please bear me for not being married for sometime," Katrina told reporters here at the trailer launch of "Phantom". Ranbir and Katrina have never confirmed their relationship.
The 32-year-old actress is starring opposite Saif Ali Khan in 'Phantom', an espionage drama, which is slated to hit the screens on August 28 this year. Talking about the film, Katrina said, "Action in this film is different from what I did in 'Dhoom 3' and 'Ek Tha Tiger'. It is not that kind of action that shows larger than life things. It (action) is integral part of the film, it comes in real situation," Katrina told reporters here at the trailer launch of 'Phantom'.
"There were no rehearsals as such. We did lot of action. It is a different kind of action..if you understand the story you understand the action. We had a great time doing it," the 'Namastey London' star said.
The film, jointly produced by Sajid Nadiadwala and Siddharth Roy Kapur, is an adaptation of S Hussain Zaidi's novel 'Mumbai Avengers' and is set in the aftermath of the 26/11 Mumbai attacks and deals with global terrorism. Interestingly Katrina was keen on doing more action scenes. "I insisted to do a scene with a big gun. I don't think I said I won't do certain things in action. I would rather say I would do everything what Saif (Ali Khan) is doing," she added.
The 'Bang Bang' actress also heaped praise on Saif Ali Khan. "He (Saif) is a perfect gentleman, he is very smart. He is a good listener so we got along well. He has interesting info about things beyond films, so we discussed lot of things. He is great when it comes to doing work," she added.
