VijayawadaBJP national secretary and AP affairs in-charge Siddharth Nath Singh criticised AIMIM president Assaddudin Owaisi for supporting Yakub memon who was awarded death penalty in the 1993 Mumbai bomb blasts. 
 
Speaking to media on Saturday, Mr Singh said that Congress and its allies are playing religion-based politics. The death penalty was awarded by judiciary and not the BJP, he added. 
 
Terming AICC vice-president Rahul Gandhi's comment on stopping the Parliament session as childish, Mr Singh dared the Congress to produce evidences before accusing government on various grounds. He said that CBI and CAG have found no irregularities against the BJP-led NDA government.  
 
Discussing the special status issue, Mr Singh assured that BJP is committed for it.
