Warangal: With by-elections imminent to the Warangal LS seat after the resignation of Kadiam Srihari was accepted by the LS Speaker, political parties have started preparing strategies.

The Congress is the first to begin preparations and is looking  determined to win at any cost. Mr Uttam said TPCC committees headed by senior Congress leaders, who
The BJP-TD combine, however, seems to be in a gridlock about who should be fielding the candidate. While the BJP is exuding confidence that only their candidate can defeat the TRS, a section of the TD says the BJP has got enough opportunities and this time the TD needs to get the opportunity to field a candidate.

The members also said they are urging party chief N. Chandrababu Naidu also to take steps for the same. However, BJP state president G. Kishan Reddy declared  that the party will field a strong candidate.

On the other hand, the ruling TRS is confident of continuing their successful run in the state. They are sure that they would pocket this seat also. They claim that the party was born for Telangana and is working for the development of the state.
However, the party is yet to mention anything about the candidate.

TPCC sets up teams for bypoll:

TPCC president N. Uttam Kumar Reddy on Wednesday appointed coordination committees at the party level involving almost every party leader for the Warangal (SC) Lok Sabha seat where bypolls will be held before December 11.

This would be the first major electoral challenge for Mr Reddy after becoming the TPCC president. Mr Kadiam Srihari had won the Warangal LS seat in 2014  but vacated it. As per statute, a bypoll should be held within six months from the date the seat becomes vacant.
