Shantanu Maheshwari, Macedon D’mello and Nimit Kotian, known for their moves on Bindass Naach, will soon be representing India at World of Dance, Los Angeles. We had a quick chat with the trio. Excerpts:
How is it, working and performing together?
Shantanu: It’s like the old days, just that this time we have a bigger responsibility of representing India on an international platform. The journey till date has been fun and we have created a lot of good memories with Bindass Naach.
We have lived together, rehearsed together, performed together and now we are achieving our dream together — The World of Dance. This show has given us a brand new, unique platform to exchange our talent and knowledge between the team members, as well as to prepare for an international dance competition.
How is it collaborating with international artists?
Macedon: International artists do bring a different perspective. When Jaja Vankova came to India, she not only helped us perfect our moves, but also showed us how we should present our techniques and ourselves on such platforms.
How has your family reacted to your success?
Shantanu: I don’t think I have achieved success as of now, but yes the way my career graph is moving, Mom is extremely excited about it. I get immense support and motivation from my whole family.
Nimit: My parents are extremely happy and they wish that I keep working hard towards my goals in life.
Macedon: I have been dancing since my college days. Dance is what I know best and my parents have always supported me.
