Hyderabad: Union home secretary L.C. Goyal will meet Telangana and Andhra Pradesh energy officials on Friday to discuss the unending row of the forcible relieving of 1,253 AP staff by Telangana power utilities.

The controversy has been raging for nearly 45 days and the matter is pending in the High Court.

As per the Centre’s suggestion, Andhra Pradesh wants the Kamalnathan Committee to resolve the issue, while Telangana says it has based its decision on Section 82 of the AP Reorganisation Act.

The Andhra Pradesh power employees, who have not been paid salaries, have decided to hold a dharna at the Jantar Mantar in Delhi on Friday to highlight the issue.
